Health and happiness go hand in hand!

From my point of view, the key to happiness is being happy with whatever you have. Whatever your life is, enjoy it!

I do like looking forward to things but that can be as simple as looking forward to continuing reading a good book after work.

True! Happiness is spreading happiness by simply being a happy person. One of my uncles by marriage always had a smile on his face and was very upbeat. It made one feel good just to be in his company....He lived to 99-1/2.

Absolutely! Happiness is contagious. I read people posting complaints about my new small town that is now home. Well, when I go out shopping or on errands, I have a smile and cheerful tone and I find it is reflected back to me in cheerfulness from others.

Smiles are contagious...and I have read stories how just smiling at someone changed the person's life. A person who was about to commit suicide, didn't because of a person smiling at him..

That makes complete sense to me! Something as simple as a smile from a stranger can turn a life around.

Is it solgar b-complex or solar? Thank you. great read.

It is Solgar B-Complex...I used the 100 mg for many years...and www.vitacost.com is a good source. It is interesting I called them years ago about the cobalamin..and asked why they did not use the methylcobalamin? They said it was fine. Well, the Creator agreed. I was not guided to use methylcobalamin.

I have used them, they are very good.

I have to chime in and mention that I don't find the Solgar B-Complex to be desirable. They are including the artificial, inexpensive forms rather than the natural metabolically active forms of vitamins.

I'd suggest considering something like "LEF Mix". Although LEF gives a serving size as 8 tablets per day, I recommend (and take) only about 3 or 4 per day. This is of course a product that is a lot more than just a "b-complex".

It is very strange, but i asked for guidance re Solgar's B vitamin Complex .. I called Solgar...and was told methylcobalamin was fine. The Creator gave me a positive, too. Methylcobalamin was not better than plain cobalamin. I have used Solgar B-Complex 100 for over 20 years...and the B vitamins nourish the hair, as well as, the brain. I note that my hair is not white in my 90s...and that It still has quite a bit of dark strands and gray. I have had a great deal of stress all my life...yet, i am Zen! I don't get upset easily. I attribute it to the B-vitamins and non-processed foods' plus I am into the Creator and ask for guidance and help. Life Extension...They had nothing I was guided to buy.

Prior to 2006, for two decades I took inexpensive supplements and as far as I know they were beneficial and caused no harm.

My guess is you have a low stress lifestyle and have for several decades. That alone can be worth far more than any vitamin.

Thank you for the information and I will check them out. Is LEF the company or solgar mix or what exactly?

LEF = Life Extension Foundation - they conduct a ton of research on nutrition and health. I've been using and recommending LEF's products for almost twenty years now. They seem to have a good balance between quality and price.

Saul Kent and William Faloon were weird is the only word for it...The founders of Life Extension. They were into Cryonics...storing the body in freezing temperature...waiting to be resurrected!

They are very much into "life extension" and the side benefit of all that research is a wonderful wealth of good health information (and good quality products at a reasonable price).

Dr. Norman Walker... almost made it to 120 years, but was hit by a car while out walking on a country road in Arizona...and died three months later. ...Then, there are the Hunzacuts. who made it to 120 healthy years, too. Neither, Dr Walker or the Hunzacuts took any vitamin supplements.. The Huzacuts ate from gardens that received minerals from the mountains and glaciers above. Their soil was very rich. ...Dr Walker was into farming and raising his own food. He wrote ten books on the subject of health. Back to the Land...was about raising guinea hens, for eggs...and fertilizing the ground. We have our own chickens for eggs...but are aware that the organic produce we buy is not as healthy as it would have been years back. I got into supplements in the sixties...and still use them. I met Douglas Graham, D.C. who wrote The 80-10-Diet Book he advocates fruit primarily and does not take any supplements. He is doing great in his seventies. He leads health retreats and goes to areas, where he can get organically raised fruit. He is home-based in England... He was from the U.S. He was a former coach of the New York Knicks.

The only one i totally trust is our Creator. Everyone should ask for guidance...and would receive answers, if they just trusted. As a child, I would get gut feelings...and when i didn't listen, I got into trouble. We all have this ...and we need to take time and listen to our inner guidance. It would save us a lot of grief.

True! Hosea 4: 6 "My people perish from lack of knowledge...because (you) have rejected my knowledge, I will also reject you." The only knowledge I trust is not coming from commercial venues. I don't see cures happening... trusting in all the information coming out... The people connected to LEF are gone. I only know that I am doing very well at my age...going on 92...Out fast walking daily for an hour daily... going from 6:30 am until 9:30. pm..without stopping..

Thank you, we use their twice daily multi vit. The only thing is, my husband can only get 1 or these a day (which is better than none) because of his very severe health and the amount of nasty pills (pharma) he is loaded on. He has no room for food most of the time. We take them on food. Good health is priceless, I know this more now than ever before.

Hopefully your husband's health will improve. I have seen miracles by simply putting one's self with the energy of the Creator. I close my eys and ask for healing energy, when i have a problem. I had a major one, when I got hurt back in July...and now I am totally better.

Thank you Ms Barbara. Yes mam, nothing but trust and give it to God Our Almighty. I love this man and don't want to even entertain him not going more life together. So faith-faith-faith. And then if it is Gods will, I will have to accept that. (but not yet)

Yes, good health is priceless. As for Solgar's product vs LEF, it's not just the cyanocobalamin but all the others like B6 as pyridoxine HCl vs P5P, all of the niacin as "niacinamide" (no actual niacin) and Folic acid instead of folate.

LEF's twice daily (aka "Two-per-Day") is a much lower cost and concentrated option.

Loretta's avatar

Well I was searching a minute ago and there seems to be a once daily with higher quantity, from LEF, I purchased for him, as he can get better dose from his supplement. I can use the rest of the twice daily.

Enjoyed our exchange John. Thank you.
